Step right up and join Emily and Matthew of the Jones & Parker Detective Agency for an unexpected mystery under the circus tent! From broken trapeze ropes to a tampered cannon, strange accidents keep happening, and it’s up to Emily and Matthew to find out who’s behind the trouble.
The kids meet a colorful cast of circus performers: Esteban the knife thrower, the proud Guinassi trapeze family, the clowns, and Nina, a hardworking helper who longs to be in the spotlight. In the end, the circus family learns an important lesson: trust and forgiveness are essential for living and working together.
This one-act play, adapted from Adventures in Odyssey® episode #733, has varying roles and ages, great for beginner actors and seasoned performers. Sets and scene changes are creative yet simple for budding directors and small budgets.
